Message from Principal
Founded in 1997, Angelica International School (AIS) was then the only institution of its kind at Savar, a suburban locality adjacent to the Metropolitan City of Dhaka. At the beginning it was not an easy venture for several restrictions and limitations. But late Shahjahan Kabir (founder and principal) having ignored those restrictions and limitations took venture to start it for the cause of his noble mission and vision to make this a reality. Since then it has been long 20 years, the AIS continues to develop. But the death of Shahjahan Kabir in 2013 was a blow of irreparable set-back. In spite of his demise the AIS has sustained and remained on the track of gradual developments with the tireless efforts and concentrations of well-wishers in general and the management committee in particular.

Shahjahan Kabir himself got AIS registered under the Edexcel UK in 2008 for direct participation for the students in the IGCSE ‘O’ Level & ‘A’ Level exams. The students of AIS started participating IGCSE ‘O’ Level & ‘A’ Level since 2007 and so far they have been achieving outstanding results in IGCSE ‘O’ Level & ‘A’ Level exams. Besides, we opened English Version of national curriculum since 2012. In 2012 this started for the intakes of Class-V leading to Class-VIII. We also give special emphasis on pre-school and primary school sections and extracurricular activities.
We do believe every child is potentially the light of the world but at the same time it can be darkness, if the right kind of education is not provided. If properly trained, s/he can rise above history and gain mastery and insights into his surroundings. So, AIS must take the role of parenting the children, giving the right kind of wisdom to go through the crises, develop positive attitudes and personalities, and prepare and empower them to face the challenges of the competitive world.
In order to equip them with proper education, training and orientations, AIS has adopted an innovative and dedicated approach of latest teaching techniques and kept pace with the ever changing ideas of those techniques.
